| This Municipality
of Anchorage project will upgrade Fireweed Lane from Seward Highway east
to LaTouche Street and then South on LaTouche Street to Northern Lights
Boulevard. Drainage upgrades along Juneau Street from Fireweed Lane to
Chester Creek has been added to the project scope. The primary objectives
of this project are to address roadway maintenance issues, repavement
of the roadway, consider traffic-calming measures, upgrade pedestrian
facilities to meet accessibility criteria, and improve the storm drain
outfall along Juneau Street. The project is being completed in accordance
with context sensitive design principles. The project will be designed
with construction scheduled during the summer of 2007. |
